2025 Federal Election
Two party preferred by seat status
This table shows the current two party preferred (TPP) vote percentage of the incumbent government in government held seats within each state and territory. The two party percentage is further broken down by safe, fairly safe and marginal seats in each state and territory.
The data includes the swing - a comparison of the current TPP vote percentage in each state and territory compared to the previous federal election.
This table is sortable by selecting on column headers.
Notes:
- The national two party preferred (TPP) count represents the progressive aggregation of TPP counts in individual divisions.
- Where a winning party receives less than 56% of the vote, the seat is classified as 'marginal', 56-60% is classified as 'fairly safe' and more than 60% is considered 'safe'.
- TPP is a count of House of Representatives votes for the two major parties - Australian Labor Party and Liberal/National Coalition - without taking into account preferences for other parties.
- These results are not final.
